Global Community

Thomas Jefferson School of Law's graduates live and work both nationally and internationally. Our Diamond Graduate Program in International Taxation and Financial Services has more than 1,000 alumni located throughout the United States and in more than 80 countries.

Our graduates use their legal education in both the private and public sectors. They are at leading law firms and financial institutions. They include judges, elected officials, and high-level executives. They continue to use the quality education they received at Thomas Jefferson School of Law to provide outstanding legal and financial services and to enhance the quality of life in their communities.

As a Thomas Jefferson student, you will have access to the law school’s Career Services Office, which offers assistance and advice in planning your next career move and can help you network with alumni located in areas in which you may have an interest.

The Alumni Association Board of Directors and the law school’s Alumni Relations and Development staff also work closely with alumni, faculty, staff and our community of friends to provide additional learning opportunities and support.

The Alumni Fellows Program

The objective of this program is that each new student in the program be mutually matched with an alumnus for networking purposes, potentially academically, professionally and socially. Alumni and students should communicate through the Walter H. & Dorothy B. Diamond Graduate Program Alumni & Friends Facebook page to preserve privacy of contact information.

Thesis Fellow

By example, certain alumni have interests in assisting students develop and structure a thesis on a particular topic. The student naturally undertakes all the research and work, but with the guidance of the Thesis Fellow who may make general comments before the thesis is submitted for final grading. An alumnus and student also can use Skype, email or other means of communication to discuss such issues as suggested course selection, study groups and thesis topics.

The Diamond Graduate Program in International Taxation and Financial Services has successfully run for 12 years. Its future success depends upon active alumni support and the program's maintaining a cutting-edge, best-of-class, status among employers and in the legal and financial services community.
